2005 Christmas Letter
Merry Christmas from the Steinbrueck Family
The Lord has blessed us with another wonderful year filled with His love and guidance. We were also blessed with many opportunities to enjoy fellowship with family and friends as well as enjoy the laughter and busyness of two youngsters in the home.
Paul continues his work and ministry as the CEO of OurChurch.com and serves as treasurer and governing board member for our church. He also began leading a fun and growing young families small group in our church. Playing soccer, watching Tampa Bay Buccaneer football and Lightning Hockey, and spending time with the kids (and Jen) are still his favorite activities. Paul has recently been selected to be a church elder and is honored and excited to take on this new leadership role.
Jen still works one day a week as a nurse in the Pediatric Diabetes clinic and continues to serve as the Early Education Coordinator for the toddlers and preschoolers in our church. Her job as Mommy is still her favorite role and she occasionally squeezes in time to work on the kid’s and family’s scrapbooks. Her latest activities include attending Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and singing in the ensemble for our church Christmas production.
Ainsley is 4 now and has started her second year of preschool, attending 3 half days per week. She is enjoying ballet and tap dance classes along with her other favorites: singing (preferably on stage with a microphone–she steals the show everytime J ), reading, playing with her cousins and friends, and making crafts for herself and others. Ainsley certainly is a thoughtful, caring and outgoing little girl.
Aidyn is 2. Need we say more J Aidyn is all boy and lives to laugh and have fun. He loves to kick and throw balls, climb and jump, and play with trains, trucks and cars. He’s fascinated with watching football, hockey and golf and is already showing interest and skill in playing soccer. Both he and Ainsley fill the house with excitement, joy and at times, chaos.
Our year was a busy one, indeed. In April, the Lord called home 3 of our grandparents–Paul’s Grandma and Grandpa Steinbrueck and Jen’s Grandpa Sandy. It was an emotionally difficult two week time period but we took comfort in knowing that they are now in the presence of the Lord. It was a nice time of celebrating and honoring their lives and visiting with family and friends.
In May, we had our annual Twardowski family vacation and enjoyed a cruise to Cozumel with Jen’s extended family. Afterwards we spent a few days at the Disney Parks. Ainsley and her cousin, Skylar, enjoyed meeting their favorite princesses and riding Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. I can’t believe our baby is riding roller coasters already! Aidyn enjoyed meeting Pooh and his friends and riding ‘It’s a Small World’. It was an incredible trip, made even more special by being able to enjoy with our extended family.
In June, we went up to Atlanta to attend the wedding of Paul’s brother, Kurt, to Melissa Martin. Ainsley and her cousin, Abby, did a great job as flower girls and we were blessed to spend time with more of our extended family. After their honeymoon, Kurt and Melissa moved down to Tampa and Kurt began working full-time for OurChurch.Com.
In October, Paul and Jen went with our church on separate trips to Waveland, Mississippi to assist with hurricane relief. The devastation was even worse than we imagined (and still is, so please continue praying for them) but God is certainly working in mighty ways to meet the needs of His people and draw them closer to Him. Jen worked in the “store” distributing free medical supplies and other goods. She was amazed to see God’s provision in very specific ways as needed out of stock items were prayed for and hours later, a truck would show up with pallets of that specific item. Praise God!
That’s the latest happenings in our family. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas with Christ at the center of it, and we hope you have a blessed 2006. Drop us an email or sign our guestbook and let us know how you’re doing.
Love,
Paul, Jen, Ainsley, & Aidyn
