2006 Christmas Letter

2006 Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas from the Steinbrueck Family!

This was a pretty uneventful year for us. No births, deaths, marriages, job changes, or moves. We’re thankful that God has us right were we are.

This year Paul completed his 10th year as CEO of OurChurch.Com. OCC had its best year ever, experiencing record growth, launching a number of new services, and doubling its staff. Paul also had a challenging and fulfilling year in church ministry serving as an elder for the first time, completing his term as treasurer, and leading our small group Bible study for parents of young children. For fun, Paul continues to play soccer and flag football, though a little slower than years past.

Jennifer continues to work one day a week as a diabetes research study coordinator and serves as early education coordinator for the preschoolers at our church. She also volunteers in Ainsley and Aidyn’s classrooms. In her spare time (what’s that?), she attends Bible Study Fellowship, goes to a moms-kids playgroup, and enjoys scrapbooking when she can.

Ainsley turned 5 this year. She started kindergarten in the fall and thoroughly enjoys the education and new friends. Somebody forgot to tell her she’s not supposed to like homework; we’ll see how long that lasts. She continues taking ballet/tap class and did well this spring in her first recital. Earlier this year, Ainsley made the most important decision of her young life as she chose to make Jesus her “forever friend.” It’s exciting to see God at work in her life as she reads the bible and shares God’s love with others.

Aidyn is now 3 and attends preschool two half days each week. He enjoys playing with the other boys at school and church and loves playing all sports – football, baseball, hockey, soccer, golf, swimming, and more. Thanks to the Cars movie, his newest passion is racecars. This year Aidyn has really grown from a toddler to a little boy, and he is showing himself to be a very spirited and independent-minded person, which we appreciate most days.

We went to Daytona beach this summer with Jennifer’s family and then the four of us went up to the Smoky Mountains and Ashville, NC. We enjoyed the mountains, the Biltmore Estate, Thomas the Train, and some down time together as a family.

Our biggest news of the year is that we are expecting our third child sometime around February 3rd. We still haven’t decided on a name, but I’m pulling for either Aloisius or Alphonsinia.

That pretty much covers it. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas with Christ at the center of it, and we hope you have a blessed 2006. Drop us an email or sign our guestbook and let us know how you’re doing.

Love,
Paul, Jen, Ainsley, & Aidyn
